Nigeria on Thursday reported 37 new
coronavirus positive cases and one death in the last 48 hours taking the
overall cases to 256,264 and the
falalities to 3,144, according to a recent report by Nigeria Centre for Disease
Control NCDC.
Of the new infections, 29 cases were reported in Lagos, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory reported 6 cases and Kano had 2
cases.
NCDC added that Bauchi, Kaduna, Plateau,
Rivers and Sokoto reported zero cases in the past 48 hours.
On the other hand, 4 patients have recovered from the virus and discharged, the
total recovery count in Nigeria now stand at 250,117.
NCDC noted that this report includes data for
7th and 8th June 2022.
