Nigeria health official on Thursday reported 235 new cases of COVID-19, no additional deaths, leaving the country’s death toll from the virus at 3,146.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control revealed
via its official social media.
At least 253,037 persons have recovered from
the disease since the beginning of the pandemics, including 37 discharges
reported on Thursday.
NCDC new update shows that the new cases were
recorded across six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with Lagos
State reporting 138 infections out the 235 new cases.
Followed by Rivers with 36 cases, Delta
reported 21 cases, Kaduna had 17 cases, FCT had 13 cases, Edo had 9 cases and Kano
reported 1 case.
While three states reported zero cases: Abia,
Nasarawa, and Sokoto. NCDC noted that this report includes data for 19th - 20th
July 2022
It said: “Nigeria has so far recorded 259,720
confirmed cases of COVID-19. 253,037 patients have been discharged, while 3,146 persons have died.”
