Yesterday, Marvel Studios debuted the trailer for the
blockbuster sequel, which is scheduled for a November 11 release at San Diego
Comic-Con on Saturday.
The teaser begins with Tems’ rendition of “No Woman, No Cry”
before it seamlessly transitions to Kendrick Lamar’s resilient song, Alright
(2015).
During an interview with Billboard, Tems was asked what song she would remix if given the opportunity.
To which she responded, “I would choose Bob Marley’s “Is
This Love, or No Woman Don’t Cry” because those are one of my favourites,” the
27-year-old responded.
Tems performs an extremely sombre cover of Marley’s song in
the two-minute teaser, containing the phrase “good friends we have, and good
friends we’ve lost.”
The poignant trailer hints at how the MCU franchise’s heroes
will handle the loss of T’Challa, formerly portrayed by Chadwick Boseman, who
passed away at age 43 in 2020 following a four-year fight with cancer.
Following the release of the trailer, fans of the singer
have taken to Twitter to celebrate her for her latest feat.
Sharing the trailer on his Twitter page, Tems’ manager,
Muyiwa Awoniyi, wrote,”Grateful to the amazing people at @MarvelStudios. BIG
LOVE to the legend Ryan Coogler.
“It’s @temsbaby on the official Black Panther 2 trailer. My
father in heaven. Thank you once again. Rest in peace @chadwickboseman”
Listing the singer’s current wins, a fan, @eyavicente,
tweeted, “In one year, Tems went to have a collab with Future and Drake, won
best international act (BET Awards), has a featuring on Beyonce’s upcoming
album and now the same Tems covers Bob Marley ‘No Woman No Cry’ for the official
trailer of Marvel’s ‘Wakanda Forever'”.
Another fan, @maloms, wrote, “Tems has been featured on
Future, Drake, Beyoncé’s album and now Soundtrack on Wakanda Forever. Tems is
highly blessed.”
“Big tems has featured on the Black Panther soundtrack. This
year’s truly her year!!,” @062Wanye tweeted.

flow even inside your body when you listen to the Album/Ep.
