The AAAN 49th AGM kicked off on Thursday July 21st with Career Fair at the Pan Atlantic University. We net with the acting Dean and some senior officials of the school. The discussion was around collaboration and internship for the support. After which we proceeded to have career talks with the students and networking opportunities for the schools
Evening of same day, we had a courtesy visit to the palace
of Oba Alara of Ilara who hosted us to a nice evening and spoke about the
development and opportunities in Epe. The visit was attended by board members,
event committee and a few members of the association
On Friday, the conference started with opening remarks from
the president and session was declared open by the representative of the Lagos
state governor
The line up of speakers are David Okeme, Olu Akamu and Niyi
Yusuf who did justice to the topic, the new world order, technology has a game
changer.
And the panelist were very grounded and were able to break
down the topic In a granular form.
The night ended with a manifesto from our nominees and a
pool party hosted by one of of our members
On Saturday, the conference started with presentation by the Keynote Speaker Honorable Min for Information and Culture who presented a paper, Technology in Digital communication., the registrar of APCON also gave a short remark. While the DG of NTDC, who was in company of the minister also gave a short remark on the theme.
The night ended with award night and GALA. Grand award was
presented to Mr Biodun Shobanjo, Sir Steve Omojafor and Sen Akin Odunsi. Pace
setter was given to Simisola Hughes Obisesan and Rising Star to Adebayo Owosina
The Oba Alara of Ilara who was the chairman of the gala was
also present and presented the awards.
It was indeed a memorable agm as all the outgoing excos were
all returner to serve another tenure of 2 years
