The NFT collection, titled, the Trump Digital Trading Cards, depicts Donald Trump in various guises, like a superhero, an astronaut, an Old West sheriff, a Nascar driver, and a series of other figures, i.e., these NFTs feature images of the president in a style similar to collectible baseball cards. The announcement was made on Thursday via Truth Social, the social media site the billionaire founded last year.
The tokens, which are a collection of
45,000 fantasy NFTs, are minted on Polygon, costing $99, and can be purchased
with ether (ETH) or in fiat currency.
Mr Trump said, 'These limited edition cards
feature amazing ART of my Life & Career!'
Truth Social, his social-media platform,
features an animated version of the former president in front of the Trump
Tower in New York, who rips open his shirt to reveal a superhero costume
emblazoned with the letter T as lasers shoot from his eyes.
He further added that these NFTs were 'very
much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting,’ and ‘would make a
great Christmas gift.’
Attractive prizes on purchase
According to the official website of the
trading cards, Collect Trump Cards, prizes include a chance to spend time with
the President of the United States, a golf session of one hour with the

Moreover, a purchase of 45 Digital Trading

Donald Trump’s NFT launch has attracted a
lot of criticism, both from social media users as well as from high-profile
Republicans.
Interestingly, Steve Bannon, a right-wing
media commentator and former chief strategist for Mr Trump, mentioned, anyone
involved in the project 'ought to be fired today.'
Some opine that the sale of NFTs was to
help fund the legal battles that Mr Trump is embroiled in. Interestingly, the
billionaire’s need for funds has increased recently, amid unprecedented legal
jeopardy over his business and political affairs.
