Xiaomi Unveils Buds 3 Star Wars Edition TWS Earbuds

Tech companies have been increasingly collaborating with Hollywood studios or music artists to release special editions of their products tied to popular movies or artists.

These collaborations offer fans a chance to own a piece of memorabilia related to their favourite films or singer while also providing tech companies with an opportunity to market their products to a wider audience.

For instance, Samsung has partnered with Marvel Studios in the past to release Avengers-themed versions of its smartphones, while Apple has collaborated with Disney to create Star Wars-inspired versions of its popular AirPods, also Oraimo launched the 2baba Freepods 2 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds into the Nigerian market years ago.

Now Xiaomi is joining Apple, as the Chinese tech giant just announced a Star Wars-themed version of their Truly Wireless Earbuds.

The Star Wars franchise is a popular media franchise created by George Lucas. It includes a series of movies, TV shows, books, comics, and video games set in a fictional galaxy far, far away. The franchise has a massive fanbase and has had a significant impact on popular culture, inspiring countless works of art, music, and literature.

Xiaomi released its Buds 3 TWS audio device in December 2021. More than two years later, the company has launched the Xiaomi Buds 3 Star Wars edition, which features an image of a Stormtrooper — an iconic character line of the franchise — on the charging case.

Xiaomi Bud 3 Star Wars Edition comes in White colour,  priced at EUR 129.99  in Europe. They can be purchased on the Xiaomi online store or e-commerce site Amazon.

The new Xiaomi Buds 3 Star Wars Edition weigh 52g and come with charging cable supporting USB Type-C.

For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.2 support and can operate paired with a device located upto 10m away. The Xiaomi Buds 3 Star Wars Edition are water-resistant and provide the ease to switch between calls and music.

In addition to the upgrades in the hardware of its earbuds, Xiaomi has bundled these earphones with custom sound notifications, based around the Star Wars theme.

It packed with a lithium-ion battery which can get fully charged with case in 1.5 hours, and provides 7 hours of playback on earbuds and 32 hours of playback on the case. The other features of the earbuds remain the same as the Xiaomi Buds 3 TWS earbuds.
