A leading private tertiary care and healthcare service provider in Nigeria, Lagoon Hospital, has announced the appointment of Flutterwave co-founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola and Fola Laoye as directors.
Lagoon Hospital expressed its excitement about Mr Agboola
joining its board of directors. The launching of a multi-specialist facility
and a cardiology and cardiac health management centre in Lagos coincided with
the appointment.
The hospital stated that the new facility was designed to
cater to individuals who seek advanced medical care from renowned clinical and
surgical super-specialists.
The centre will offer interventional cardiology,
interventional radiology, and laparoscopic services with optimal outcomes,
providing both Nigerians and the international community with faster access to
specialized services.
The need for enhanced specialist services in the Nigerian
health sector prompted the announcement of the launch of the centre.
The acquisition of the hospital by Iwosan Investments
Limited from Hygeia Group was made possible by a pool of investments from
diverse local and foreign investors.
During the occasion, Agboola and other directors were
received by the Managing Director of Iwosan Hospitals Victoria Island, Dr
Ayobami Kuyoro, and Dr Idowu Adebiyi, Group Head of Operations at Iwosan
Investments.
“Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals Victoria Island is carefully
modelled for individuals who seek wholesome and advanced medical care delivered
by renowned Clinical and Surgical Super-Specialists,” it said.
The hospital added, “The facility will provide both
