Pursuant to this, a training series aimed at equipping
facility management professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to
lead sustainability and circularity transitions in facilities management has
been designed for the benefit of these professionals, their organisations and
host communities.
The training series commenced with a webinar on Wednesday,
April 5, 2023, themed ‘Leading Change for Sustainability and Circularity in
Facilities Management’ to equip participants with the requisite knowledge they
need to lead the transition from a linear to a circular economy in their
organisations.
This circularity transition is sure to reverse nature loss,
reduce carbon footprint and provide more eco-friendly options for individuals,
organisations and communities that impact the environment positively.
The webinar will be followed with an executive workshop on
‘Leading Impact through the Circular Economy’, and a networking forum &
business mixer on ‘Collaborating for Impact in the Circular Economy’, scheduled
for 3rd May and 5th May, 2023 respectively.
Key stakeholders in the facilities management industry,
sustainability experts, and circular economy thought leaders will explore the
latest global trends and best practices in sustainable facilities management
and circularity which will expose facility managers within Nigeria to the
latest tools, global insights, and best practices to help them conserve
resources, minimise cost and lead change in sustainability, circular transitions,
and sustainable waste management processes in their respective facilities.
The Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre in in
partnership with Circular Business Platform which is an initiative of the
Circular Economy Innovation Partnership (CEIP), remains committed to
spearheading, sustainability and circularity that advances sustainable economic
growth by driving thought leadership and promoting sustainable best practices
across public, private and nonprofit organisations in Africa.
