Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, on Thursday 27 April 2023 held a telephone conversation with the Secretary-General of the United Nations H.E. Mr António Guterres to discuss developments of the situation in Sudan.
During the call, both sides appreciated the importance of coordination as part of regional and international efforts to defuse the crisis. On another hand, they emphasized the imperative of continuing the humanitarian truce to ensure delivery of humanitarian aid, achievement of immediate and permanent ceasefire and resumption of a peace process through dialogue and negotiation.
