    Basketball Africa League Nile Conference Daily Recap

    City Oilers were led by James Justice Jr. who finished with 30 points and once again was the team’s top scorer.

    City Oilers v Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club (S.L.A.C) 68-96

    UC Iroegbu (Nigeria) scored 22 points, Ibrahima Fofana (Guinea) got 14 points, six rebounds and five assists, and Guinea’s S.L.A.C beat Uganda’s City Oilers 96-68 last night. It was S.L.A.C’s first win in three games and they will look to change their fortunes in their next two games. Their next opponent will be Angola’s Petro de Luanda this evening.

    Meanwhile, City Oilers were led by James Justice Jr. who finished with 30 points and once again was the team’s top scorer. Falando Jones added 20 for the Oilers who remain winless in the competition. They will play Mozambique’s CFV-Beira next.

    Cape Town Tigers v Al Ahly 75-91

    Anunwa Omot (South Sudan) got 28 points and six rebounds, with four other players contributing to the scoreboard, and Egypt’s Al Ahly defeated South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers 91-75 last night. Al Ahly remains undefeated in the Nile Conference and will face the conference leaders Petro de Luanda on Friday night.

    Evans Ganapamo (Central African Republic) led the Tigers with 26 points, and Michael Gbinije (Nigeria) and Samkelo Cele (South Africa) combined for 30 points and 10 rebounds. With one win in three games, Cape Town is currently fourth in the Nile Conference and will face CFV-Beira this evening.
