The Assembly will have its first-ever First Ladies roundtable on women’s involvement in placemaking in cities.
UN- Habitat will on Friday 2nd June announce the second session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly which is scheduled to be held in Nairobi between 5 – 9 June, 2023.
The Assembly’s theme is “A sustainable urban future through inclusive and effective multilateralism: achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in times of global crises.”
In addition, the Assembly will have its first-ever First Ladies roundtable on women’s involvement in placemaking in cities. The Assembly will also feature an urban expo showcasing various topics related to housing, urban development, and technology.
Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat Maimunah Mohd Sharif and Deputy Executive Director of UN-Habitat Michal Mlynár will spearhead the press conference.
