The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the agreement reached between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during the Jeddah talks to extend the ceasefire for five days. The OIC Secretary-General, Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed his hope that the agreement would pave the way for a permanent ceasefire and ending of the armed conflict in Sudan.The Secretary-General praised the good efforts deployed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America to reach this agreement.
