In response to rising fuel costs and increasing vehicle expenses, Dana Motors Limited has announced plans to build and introduce Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles into the Nigerian market before the end of this year.
The exclusive distributor of the Kia range of vehicles in
Nigeria, said the new venture is vital to its mission of transforming
transportation in Nigeria, stressing that the DFM brand of buses would be built
at its plant in Lagos
The planned introduction of CNG vehicles also reflects Dana
Motors’ commitment to innovation and sustainability in Nigeria’s automotive
sector, addressing the need for more cost-effective transportation.
Having previously introduced Nigeria’s first electric
vehicle, the Kia Soul, Dana Motors Limited is now set to introduce a range of
high-efficiency CNG-powered vehicles.
Commenting on the development, Francis Ogboro, Vice Chairman
