Chelsea Finally Break Goalless Run to Down Fulham

Chelsea got back to winning ways as they secured a 2-0 victory over derby rival, Fulham, at the Craven Cottage late Monday night.

The Blues got their first goal in the 18th minute when Ukraine international Mudryk, received a clipped pass from Colwill before netting with a left-footed strike.

A minute later, Broja doubled the lead when he made his way past Leno after a poor clearance from Ream.

Broja missed a huge chance in the 2nd minute after rounding Leno before blasting the ball away.

Palmer made way into his first start for the Blues as he replaced Raheem Sterling, who coach Pochettino had said prior to the game that he hadn’t played for the past three days.

Blues’ front man, Nicolas Jackson, was suspended and made way for Armando Broja who is making his first start for the club since November 2022 after he was sidelined with a knee injury.

Notable among the home side’s starting lineup was former Chelsea attacker, Willian, who won two Premier League titles with the club.

Chelsea remained winless in their last three league games since they won against Luton Town.

The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat on home soil against Aston Villa in their last league outing.

With the win at the Craven Cottage, Chelsea moved up to the 11th position, sharing eight points from their first seven league games, the same as Fulham who remains in the 13th position.

Taiwo Awoniyi’s Nottingham Forest occupies the 12th position with eight points as well.
