The Chief Executive Officer of ISHI Homes, on Friday, in
Victoria Island, Lagos State, stressed that without access to financing, many
people are unable to invest in their own homes, which harms their quality of
life.
Speaking during the announcement of a Nollywood actress,
Ariyo Oluwakemisola, popularly known as Kemity as the company’s brand
ambassador, Ilufoye urged the Federal Government to create a special fund to
finance low-cost housing for low-income households.
“Nigerians’ housing struggle is due to lack of access to
finance. Many desire to build their house and even be there by now but how will
they get that done if they don’t have access to funds? This, among many,
contributes to the current rise in house deficit in the country,” he noted.
He further advised the government to engage in
public-private partnerships and provide tax incentives for developers to build
affordable housing.
He added, “I urge the Federal Government, in its capacity to
provide seamless opportunities and policies for want-to-be house owners.”
He, however, said ISHI Homes is raising awareness of the
importance of affordable and sustainable housing in communities nationwide.
He added that the new Ambassador known for her talent and
philanthropic efforts, is expected to further advance the company’s mission of
providing safe, comfortable, and affordable housing options for individuals and
families.
Kemity signed a one-year contract with the real estate
company and brings on board a passion for supporting communities in need and a
dedicated commitment to social causes.
He added, “We welcome Kemity as our Ambassador. Her
dedication to positively impacting the world aligns perfectly with our company
values. We believe that by working together, we can create even greater change
and help more people in need of secure and stable housing.”
As an Ambassador for ISHI Homes, he stressed that Kemity
will participate in various outreach programmes, public speaking engagements,
and media campaigns to bring attention to the critical need for affordable
housing.
“I am honoured to join forces with ISHI Homes as their
Ambassador. I believe that everyone deserves access to safe and affordable
housing, and I am committed to using my platform to support this important
cause. I look forward to working with ISHI Homes and leveraging our collective
efforts to create positive change for those in need,” Kemity said.
