Former Kogi governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dino Melaye, has named grammy-nominated singer Davido leader of the Nigerian music industry.
Dino joined the ongoing online supremacy battle between Nigerian Afrobeats stars, Wizkid and Davido lending his voice in favour of the ‘Unavailable’ crooner.
Melaye argued that Davido is “undoubtedly” the leader of the Nigerian music industry and most commercially successful globally.
On his X handle on Wednesday, he wrote: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”
BrandIconImage reports that Wizkid and Davido were recently engaged in a fierce social media war on X.
Davido later challenged Wizkid to a hit battle but the Starboy boss had yet to reply.
