American Rapper Enchanting Dies at 26

The music world is mourning the loss of 26-year-old US rapper Enchanting.

On Monday, reports emerged that the rapper had been admitted to the intensive care unit at a hospital due to an overdose.

Confirming Enchanting’s death on Tuesday, her sister, Kay Jay took to X to share a photo of the artiste with the caption: “I love you girl “

A rep for Enchanting management’s team told The Shade Room, “She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried.”

The artiste, whose real name is Channing Nicole Larry, was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label in 2020, appearing on three compilation albums before exiting the label last year.

“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting ,” her former label boss Gucci Mane wrote on Instagram.

Enchanting burst onto the scene with her debut mixtape “Love & Drugs,” and released her most recent project “No Luv” on the 1017 label in 2022.

She also released her song “He Can’t Reach” for HBO’s “Rap Sh!t Season 2” soundtrack via Issa Rae’s Raedio imprint, New York radio station Hot 97 reported.

Many fans took to social media to mourn Enchanting’s demise.

Sharing the departed artiste’s music video via X, @wtf_rema wrote, “Talented Enchanting still slid on this song. May her soul rest in peace ️”

Also sharing the artiste’s photo, @Eddy_Twins_ wrote, “Someone passing away so young should just show us why we need to spend more time enjoying the little things that people will talk about when we’re gone. Spend more time with your kids if you got em! Find ways to make memories outside of the club! And most importantly be yourself and be kind.

    “RIP Enchanting ️”
