The Scottish professional wrestler and former three-time world champion secured victory in the men’s Money in the Bank match, surpassing a highly competitive field of contenders and claiming the coveted briefcase, which guarantees a future world title opportunity. While this achievement may not have been equivalent to departing WrestleMania as the world champion or securing the title in his native Scotland, it undoubtedly provided a significant sense of accomplishment for McIntyre.

In the Intercontinental Championship match at Money in the Bank 2024, Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker engaged in a highly competitive contest. Notably, this match marked Bron’s first pinfall defeat on the main roster. Both wrestlers demonstrated exceptional athleticism and determination throughout the match, with Bron showcasing his dominance through a diverse array of maneuvers.

Sami, however, demonstrated his agility by evading several of Bron’s finishing maneuvers. The match was exhilarating, concluding with Zayn executing a Helluva Kick to secure the pinfall victory over Breakker and retain his Intercontinental Championship.

Interference of CM Punk

The recent trend of CM Punk’s interference in Drew’s matches continued at Money in the Bank. During the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Damian Priest, Drew entered the ring with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

He fulfilled the terms of the contract, transforming the match into a three-way competition for the World Heavyweight championship.

Drew was unexpectedly assaulted by  Rollins with a Future Shock DDT maneuver. Subsequently, CM Punk entered the ring and initiated an attack on Drew. Punk strategically moved the altercation outside the ring, where he proceeded to strike Drew with chair shots and even the World Title. This turn of events presented an opportunity for Damian, who capitalized on the situation by executing a chokeslam on Drew, thereby successfully retaining the World Title.

Tiffany emerged victorious in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match

During the Money in the Bank event, the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match stood out as a remarkable contest. The participants demonstrated exceptional athleticism and strategic prowess, elevating the match to unprecedented levels of excitement. Zoey Stark, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyrie, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Tiffany Stratton showcased their skills throughout the match, delivering a truly spectacular performance.

During a pivotal juncture of the match, Iyo Sky executed a remarkable body slam from the ladder onto another ladder positioned between the ropes, resulting in a stunning and unexpected moment that left both competitors injured. Another memorable instance occurred when Chelsea Green attempted to ascend the ladder to retrieve the briefcase, but Tiffany intervened by forcefully pushing her off, causing Chelsea to crash through two tables positioned outside the ring. Capitalizing on this opportunity, Tiffany swiftly secured the briefcase, thereby clinching a significant and unforgettable victory.

Jacob Fatu’s inaugural appearance

The main event of Money in the Bank featured a six-man tag team match between Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens against The Bloodline members Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga, with Tanga Loa providing external support. Jacob Fatu made a remarkable debut, demonstrating his dominance by engaging in a competitive match against Cody, Randy, and Owens.

Ultimately, Solo achieved the decisive victory by pinning Cody, a feat made possible In no small part due to Jacob’s unwavering support and assistance.

John Cena announces retirement from WWE

John Felix Anthony Cena, a distinguished 16-time WWE Champion and renowned American actor, has graciously shared insights regarding his impending retirement from in-ring competition.

During the WWE Money in the Bank event held in Toronto, Canada, the renowned professional wrestler, known for his signature move “Hidden Strike,” made an official announcement regarding his future in the sport. With a heavy heart, he revealed his decision to bid farewell to professional wrestling and retire from active competition in the year 2025.

It has been revealed by Cena that the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be his final events.

The WWE legend, wearing a ”John Cena Farewell Tour 2025” shirt, made a statement, “I’ve been in the WWE for over two decades and in that time, I’ve seen incredible waves of prosperity like we got right now. WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt, but I have also seen true hardship, that’s when no one knows your name, nobody wants to be your friend and only the most dedicated and hardcore fans stand by your side.”

He further mentioned his desire to remain involved when Raw transitions to Netflix in January.

Cena commenced his WWE career in 2002. However, since 2018, he has transitioned to a reduced participation role within the organization to prioritize his acting career.
