Esteemed Canadian vocalist and singer, Celine Dion, is scheduled to perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics despite her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

The 56-year-old vocalist will join other vocalists, including Dua Lipa and Aya, to perform at the event.

The Olympic Games will commence on Friday, July 26, 2024, and conclude on August 11, 2024, in Paris, France.

As reported by guardian.ng, it is estimated that the 2024 edition will have over 600,000 spectators in attendance and will be broadcasted to 80 large screens in public areas.

For the first time in history, this year’s opening ceremony, directed by Thomas Jolly, will be held outside an Olympic stadium.

The competition takes place every four years.

Celine Dion recently stated that her Stiff Person Syndrome feels like she’s “being strangled”.

Dion disclosed that she frequently experiences muscle spasms and has even sustained fractured ribs.

In January, Celine Dion initially alluded to her health difficulties when she canceled the North American leg of her Courage world tour, which was scheduled to run from March 9 to April 22, 2022.

This announcement came three months after she was forced to postpone the commencement of her Las Vegas comeback residency due to the same health issue.

Ms. Celine Dion has gained the moniker of ‘Queen of Las Vegas’ due to her highly prosperous residencies in the city.

Following the conclusion of her renowned Caesars Palace residency in 2019, she was enticed to return to Las Vegas to perform at the newly established Resorts World on the Strip.
