FlySafair, a low-cost carrier based in South Africa, intends to launch flights between OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP), situated approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Mbombela (Nelspruit) in Mpumalanga.

The airport serves as the primary access point for international tourists traveling to Kruger National Park.

Flights will depart from Johannesburg at 11:15 on Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Mbombela at 12:10. The return flight will depart from Mbombela at 12:45, also on Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Johannesburg at 13:40. The flights will be operated on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The new service will commence operations on August 2, 2024.
