Spotify unveils Nigerian music global impact list for 2024


Spotify recently published its Global Impact List for Nigeria. This list acknowledges the top 30 Nigerian tracks that had the most significant global impact on Spotify during the first half of 2024.

The list highlights Nigerian tracks that garnered the highest number of listens from outside Nigeria between January 1 and June 30, 2024..

Female artists, notably Ayra Starr and Tems, are spearheading the movement with chart-topping hits following the recent release of their albums. Furthermore, the list highlights the prevalence of international collaborations, with eight of the top ten tracks featuring partnerships with global music icons.

These collaborations, ranging from Pheelz with Usher to Burna Boy with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, exemplify the cross-cultural appeal and expanding global influence of Nigerian music.
