Shaboozey has achieved the number one position on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Collins Obinna Chibueze, a Nigerian-American musician better known by his stage name Shaboozey, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the top spot on the prestigious U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in his career.

‘The song “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey has achieved the number one position on the most recent weekly music chart, having steadily risen in popularity over the past twelve weeks.

“Billboard Hot 100: #1(+1) A Bar Song (Tipsy), Shaboozey (@ShaboozeysJeans) [12 weeks]. *new peak*,” music monitoring platform, Chart Data tweeted Monday night.

Following this accomplishment, Shaboozey has joined Beyoncé as the sole African-American artists to concurrently hold the top spot on both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.

In response to the accomplishment, the Nigerian-born singer posted on his social media page, “The actual feeling of having your “dreams come true” is indescribable, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at some point in life.”

Shaboozey was featured on the Cowboy Cater Album by Beyoncé.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the renowned country music artist shared his profound experience of collaborating with Beyoncé, emphasizing the transformative impact it had on his career and personal growth.

Shaboozey garnered significant attention for his contribution to the soundtrack of the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, specifically for the track “Start a Riot” featuring Duckwrth. Subsequently, in 2024, he had the privilege of collaborating with the renowned artist Beyoncé on two tracks from her eighth studio album, titled Cowboy Carter.

His career reached new heights with the release of the single “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which achieved the remarkable feat of reaching the number one position on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.
