Boypee has denied allegations that he took down the ‘Ogechi Remix’ video due to ‘Davido’s greed’.
A recent report has surfaced alleging that the removal of
the ‘Ogechi Remix’ music video, featuring Nigerian singer Boypee and
collaborators Brown Joel and Hyce, alongside Davido, was due to a dispute over
royalties.
The video, which served as the wedding song for Davido and
his wife Chioma, was initially uploaded on Davido’s record label, DMW’s YouTube
channel but was later taken down due to copyright concerns.
An individual using the handle @Johnnyescoba posted a report
attributed to Boypee, suggesting that the video’s removal was a result of
Davido’s desire to claim all the royalties generated from the views.
The user wrote, “‘We had to take down the Ogechi Remix video
cuz Davido wanted to take all the royalties.’
Boypee in a recent interview.
Quoting the post, Boypee debunked the claims, saying; “You
and who talk that one ? To what profit eh guy? Wetin you wan use my downfall
do?”
