Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, commonly referred to
as DJ Cuppy, has expressed her admiration for her mother during a recent visit
to her dry cleaning factory.
On Instagram, Cuppy posted a video showcasing her tour of
the establishment, which was founded by her mother in 1999. As the business
celebrates its 25th anniversary, it has established itself as one of the
leading dry cleaning services in Nigeria.
Cuppy emphasized that her mother’s position as a female CEO
and her entrepreneurial spirit serve as significant sources of inspiration for
her.
During her visit, she sought motivation and was particularly
impressed when her mother’s team invited her to assist with the operations.
Cuppy reflected on her mother’s journey, noting how she
started the business with limited resources and achieved remarkable success,
which serves as a powerful reminder for her to remain committed and pursue
excellence in her own pursuits.
“In 1999, my mum founded @GarmentCareLTD, and now, 25 years
later, it stands as the BEST dry cleaning business in the country! Her
entrepreneurial spirit as a female CEO inspires me daily, so I visited her
factory for motivation. I was incredibly impressed—her team even had me working
(for free)! @Nana_Otedola, seeing you grow this business from its beginnings to
a well-known name inspires me to pursue perseverance and excellence in all I
do. CuppyOnAMission GarmentCare FamilyFirst.”
