The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, has released information regarding her funeral arrangements and clarified the cause of her passing.

Aduke Gold passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

Following her passing, an erroneous report circulated, suggesting that Aduke Gold’s death was a result of complications from a fibroid surgery.

This claim has been refuted by Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, Aduke Gold’s stepbrother, who addressed the matter in a widely shared social media video.

Aderogbo confirmed that the gospel singer’s cause of death was cervical cancer, as indicated on her hospital death certificate.

Aderogbo also provided details regarding the funeral arrangements for Aduke Gold. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, August 21: Candle Night at 6:00 PM. The event will take place at Ayoleye Primary School, along College Road, Ifako-Ijaiye, directly opposite African Church Cathedral, Lagos State.

Thursday, August 22: Artistes Night from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, at the same venue.

Friday, August 23: Burial Service at 10:00 AM, held at the hall within Lagos African Church Grammar School, Ifako-Ijaiye.
