Karimot, the sister of Wunmi, has disclosed new information regarding the demise of the late artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad.
During a TikTok Live session on Monday, she accused the late
singer's wife of being involved in his death, which left many social media
users astonished.
Karimot recounted a severe altercation between the couple
that resulted in damage to a specific railing in Mohbad's residence. She
asserted that this dispute led Wunmi to seek the assistance of a nurse,
ultimately contributing to Mohbad's passing.
Furthermore, Karimot, who has publicly distanced herself
from Wunmi, claimed to possess incriminating information regarding the singer's
former spouse.
She alleged that Wunmi had taken Mohbad's phone from his
mother and has since refused to return it, along with other devices collected
for evidence. Additionally, she revealed that Wunmi has established an account
in her mother's name to which Mohbad's funds are being redirected.
The Aloba family has rejected the autopsy results of Mohbad
and is calling for a thorough investigation. Following the release of the
autopsy findings, Karimot issued an apology to Mohbad's father.
This development coincides with Nigerian actor Yomi Fabiyi's
appeal on social media for public support for Mohbad, encouraging attendance at
the upcoming court date for the ongoing coroner's inquest into his death.
Fabiyi shared a post on Instagram featuring a screenshot and
the hashtag #JusticeForMohbad, advocating for a peaceful demonstration outside
the court.
In his message, he stressed the importance of solidarity and
non-violent protest, urging his followers to ignore negative remarks and
concentrate on the objective of achieving justice.
He stated, “Let us unite in one voice to accomplish this
goal and find closure. DISREGARD OR REMOVE NEGATIVE VIBES; this is social
media. Not every comment from accounts should be perceived as genuine public
sentiment or opinion. Some are merely distractions.”
Fabiyi encouraged his supporters to participate in the
forthcoming coroner inquest, carrying placards to express their demands.
He emphasized that if no advancements are achieved, they
should concentrate on the one-year anniversary of Mohbad’s passing as a
subsequent opportunity to persist in their pursuit of justice.
In the meantime, Mohbad’s family has asked that groups and
individuals intending to commemorate the first anniversary of his death
postpone their arrangements
