Enzo Zidane, the son of renowned football icon Zinedine Zidane, has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 29.

As reported by Diario AS on Tuesday, Enzo, who most recently played for Fuenlabrada in Spain's third division, has chosen to step away from the sport to concentrate on personal matters, including family and investment opportunities.

Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the announcement, stating, "Zinedine Zidane’s son Enzo has retired from football at the age of 29, reports @diarioas. He last played for Fuenlabrada in the 3rd tier of Spanish football and wants to focus on private matters, including his investments."

Enzo, the eldest of Zidane's four sons, enjoyed a decade-long career, making 203 appearances, scoring 13 goals, and providing 24 assists. His journey included time with clubs such as Real Madrid Castilla, Alavés, Lausanne, Rayo Majadahonda, Aves, Almeria, and Rodez Aveyron, culminating in 29 appearances for Fuenlabrada.

His most memorable moment came during his sole appearance for Real Madrid's senior team, where he scored on his debut in a 6-1 Copa del Rey triumph over Cultural Leonesa.

While Enzo has decided to leave the football scene, his brothers continue to pursue careers in the sport. Luca Zidane is currently the starting goalkeeper for Eibar, Theo Zidane plays in midfield for Córdoba in the third tier, and the youngest, Elyaz Zidane, has recently joined the Real Betis academy and represents France at the U-17 level.
