Oktoberfest has commenced in Munich following the traditional tapping of the beer keg. Mayor Dieter Reiter officially inaugurated the 189th Oktoberfest at noon by tapping the first keg. The festivities will continue until October 6, featuring 18 large tents spread across the fairgrounds, making it the largest folk festival in the world.
