VFS Global, a specialist in outsourcing and technology services, has issued an important advisory to Nigerian visa applicants regarding the presence of fraudulent agents and intermediaries, referred to as touts, who falsely claim to represent the company.

This information was shared by Mr. Alok Singhal, Head of Sub-Saharan Africa at VFS Global, in a statement received by our correspondent on Saturday. Singhal highlighted that the increase in travel activity that began in 2022 has persisted into 2024, with travel data indicating positive trends.

He also mentioned that outbound travel has returned to pre-pandemic levels, with tourism, family visits, and educational and business trips being the primary motivations for Nigerians traveling abroad.

Addressing the frequent reasons for visa application rejections, he stated, “The most prevalent cause for visa application denials is the submission of incorrect or incomplete information.

It is crucial to consult the official websites of the respective countries by visiting our website's document checklist section.

Additionally, the optional form-filling service available for certain locations, at an extra cost, can help ensure that accurate information is provided.”
