Lanre Adisa, Managing Director of Noah's Ark and President of AAAN, shared this initiative last Thursday during a courtesy visit from BJAN executives, including Chairman Clara Chinwe Okoro, at the AAAN secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja.
REV, which stands for “Recognition, Expansion, and Value,” is a strategic initiative led by Adisa and the AAAN executive team aimed at enhancing the advertising profession.
Adisa emphasized the importance of publicity, stating, "Our primary goal is to promote this new administration and the innovative approach we refer to as REV, which stands for Relevance, Expansion, and Value. If we can collaborate effectively to advance this agenda, it would be highly beneficial."
To ensure alignment between the two associations, he mentioned that the AAAN publicity committee will develop a plan in coordination with brand journalists to achieve the desired outcomes.
Supporting Adisa's remarks, Koyejo Abiola, AAAN Vice President and Managing Partner at Imaginarium Marketing Communications, noted that the REV agenda is poised to enhance the advertising sector and provide additional value to agencies.
Earlier, BJAN Chairman Clara Okoro indicated that the visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between BJAN and its stakeholders. "We successfully implemented many initiatives discussed with the previous executives for the benefit of both organizations. This year, we aim to propose two partnership initiatives related to our marketing conference."
"It’s a symbiotic relationship- and we will also be expecting to hear what AAAN want from us in terms of value and in the capacity that we will, we will deliver to the best of our ability as an organization and individually," Clara said.
Vice Chairman of BJAN, Lukman Ishau, expressed that the request for collaboration focuses on obtaining support from AAAN member agencies to promote the BJAN event through its brochure.
In addition to seeking support, BJAN is also interested in having AAAN members attend the conference, as noted by Akin Adewakun, a BJAN member who believes their presence would significantly enhance the conference's reputation.
Responding to the request, AAAN Executive Director Jonathan Oyovwevotu acknowledged the visit and affirmed that AAAN would provide support within its means.
"Facilitating communication with our members through the association should not pose any challenges. We are all integral players in the marketing communications sector, and I assure you that we will extend whatever support we can," he stated.
The BJAN delegation also included Olufemi Adeyemi, Finance Secretary, and Amechi Obiakpu, Chief Information Officer.
