It is important to note that Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August of the previous year after being found guilty in December 2022 of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and two additional felonies for shooting Megan in the feet following a party at Kylie Jenner’s residence in 2020.
In Nneka Onuorah’s upcoming documentary, ‘Megan: In Her Words,’ set to premiere on October 31 on Prime Video, Megan discussed her relationship with Lanez, revealing that she initially lied about their sexual encounters but later confessed to having slept with him on several occasions.
She asserted that these interactions occurred while she was under the influence of alcohol.
“Yes, bi**h, I lied to Gayle King, bi**h,” Meg says within the doc. “First of all, I didn’t know that bi**h was gon’ even ask me about that shi*t, we supposed to be talking about this shooting, why is you asking me about f**king Tory?
“That’s not what this is about,” she went on. “Even if it was, I f**ked this ni**a like once, maybe twice, on a drunk night. Bi**h kept catching me out of my f**king mind.”
Also, Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, acknowledged during the shooting trial that she had a sexual relationship with Lanez. She expressed to the jury her feelings of "embarrassment" for having been intimate with someone who might pose a threat to her safety.“I’m embarrassed because I’m a grown woman hanging with people I have no business hanging out with. Now look at how everybody want to view me…. How could I share my body with someone who would shoot me… Now every week there’s an article calling me a ‘hoe.'”
Lanez sought to assert that his close relationship with Megan Thee Stallion influenced the events surrounding the night of the shooting, suggesting that both Megan and her former friend Kelsey Harris were distressed upon discovering he was involved with both of them.
Nevertheless, in December 2022, Lanez was found guilty on three counts in the shooting trial, which included assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He received a 10-year prison sentence.
