The Recording Academy is preparing for the highly anticipated 67th Grammy Awards, set to occur on February 2nd, 2025, in Los Angeles. As the awards season draws near, artists globally have started to submit their works for nomination evaluation.

Among the numerous entries is five-time Grammy Award winner Angelique Kidjo. The iconic singer has officially put forward her latest single “Joy,” featuring Nigerian superstar Davido, for consideration in two categories: Best African Music Performance and Record of the Year.

In addition, Angelique has submitted “Sunlight to My Soul,” which features the Soweto Gospel Choir and is penned by Diane Warren, for Best Global Music Performance and Song of the Year.
