In a conversation with HipTV, Amirror recounted that their introduction took place in 2012, facilitated by a mutual producer during their work on various music projects and singles. She characterized this meeting as the inception of a significant relationship.
In 2018, Akon signed her to his record label, Konvict Kulture, which she noted as the commencement of their professional partnership.
“The connection happened. I met Akon in 2012 with the producer I was working on projects and singles then and from there me and Akon stayed connected. Then we came together as one,” she said.
“At the end of 2018, he signed me to Konvict Kulture. From there, he gave me the playbook, the blueprint and I feel like I am just honored and grateful to have the playbook and blueprint from Akon because honestly he is a legend.“He is my biggest critic but he is also my biggest cheerleader. So we balance off each other, we respect each other. He is working over there and I am working over here and I feel like as long as we are both doing we both love to do, then we are always going to grow together.”
Akon's personal life has attracted attention due to his involvement in polygamous relationships. It has been reported that he has several wives, including Tomeka Thiam, Rozina Negusei, Amirror, and Tricia Ann Thiam. In a 2022 interview with Big Boy, Akon acknowledged having multiple wives but chose not to disclose the exact number.
