As outlined in the official memorandum dated November 8 and duly signed by Olusanya Adesanya, the company's commercial director, these price modifications will come into effect from November 11 onwards.
As a prominent producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Guinness and Malta Guinness, the organization has outlined the modifications in the memorandum.
“This is to inform you of the price change on some of our BEER SKUs/brands effective Monday November 11, 2024, as shown in the table below,” the memo reads.
“This is due to the prevailing economic realities which have impacted significantly on our current cost of doing business.
“Whilst appreciating your valued partnership, please be assured of our commitment to continue to support your distribution efforts as usual.”
With reference to the revised pricing structure, a crate of large Guinness will be offered to wholesalers at N13,590, while retailers will be charged N14,070. Individual bottles will be sold at N1,300 each.
For medium Guinness, wholesalers will now pay N16,230 per crate, and retailers will be charged N16,610. The cost per bottle for medium Guinness is set at N1,100.
The pricing for small Guinness is set at N17,570 for wholesalers, N18,020 for retailers, and N900 per bottle; FES Can will be N23,580 for wholesalers, N23,965 for retailers, and N1,100 per bottle; and Orijin Can will cost wholesalers N16,600, retailers N17,015, and N900 per bottle.
The new wholesale price for the Guinness Smooth brand is N16,230, with retailers paying N16,610 and a bottle priced at N1,100.
For Guinness Smooth Can, the prices are N23,580 for wholesalers, N23,965 for retailers, and N1,100 per bottle; Malta Guinness Classic will be N12,655 for wholesalers, N13,500 for retailers, and N700 per bottle; Malta Guinness Can will cost wholesalers N15,385, retailers N16,025, and N800 per bottle; Dubic Malt RGB will be N11,795 for wholesalers, N12,590 for retailers, and N650 per bottle; and Dubic Malt Can will be priced at N14,265 for wholesalers, N14,880 for retailers, and N750 per bottle, as detailed in the memo.
