Tony Book, the former captain and manager of Manchester City, has passed away at the age of 90, as announced by the Premier League club on Tuesday.

As a right-back, Book captained the team to four significant trophies during the late 1960s and early 1970s, including the English top division title and the European Cup Winners’ Cup. He later achieved League Cup victory as the team's manager in 1976.

Following his managerial career, Book was honored with the title of honorary president at Manchester City and served as the life president of the official supporters club.
