The premiere of ‘Lisabi: A Legend is Born’, directed by Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, attracted a remarkable gathering of celebrities and guests on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The event took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Onikan, Lagos, highlighting a vibrant celebration of Yoruba heritage through its selected venue and artistic presentations.

Prior to the film screening, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation as attendees walked the red carpet.

When inquired about what audiences can expect from the film, which serves as a sequel to ‘Lisabi: An Uprising’ released in 2024, Adedimeji remarked, “People should look forward to answers to all of the questions they asked when they saw the first part. All the questions will be answered when they see the second part of the film.”

The actor discussed the difficulties encountered during the filming of the sequel, stating, “It was challenging bringing people together for the number of days that we had to shoot. It was a lot of work, but it was interesting all the way, having to go through sequences of fights. I am glad it came out well, and people are going to see it.”
