Uzoebo takes over from Ronke Kuye, the founding CEO, who was instrumental in SANEF’s initiatives to promote financial inclusion and agent banking across Nigeria. With over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, Uzoebo is anticipated to further propel growth in this area.
Prior to her new role, Uzoebo was SANEF’s Chief Distribution and Stakeholder Engagement Officer, where she significantly contributed to business growth, stakeholder relations, and strategic efforts to enhance the organization’s agent network.
“Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing agent expansion, account opening, technology solutions, policy advocacy, financial literacy, and capacity building,” the statement said.
In response to her new position, Uzoebo remarked, “I am honoured to lead SANEF at such a crucial time. Financial inclusion remains a key driver of economic growth, and I am committed to deepening agent banking networks, expanding financial literacy, and leveraging technology to ensure wider access to financial services.”
SANEF emphasized Uzoebo’s proven ability to collaborate with regulators, banks, financial service providers, and development organizations to improve access to financial services and advance digital financial solutions.
“Her strong business acumen and leadership qualities have driven the advancement of digital financial services and economic and financial inclusion in the ecosystem,” the company added.
Under her guidance, SANEF has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing financial access through agent banking, innovative technological solutions, and strategic partnerships.
Uzoebo holds certifications as a product manager and is a licensed national business development service provider. She is also an honorary senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
Additionally, she is a fellow of The Microfinance Association in the UK and a member of the Association of International Product Marketing & Management.
SANEF is pivotal to Nigeria’s financial inclusion strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance financial access, especially for marginalized communities.
The organization is optimistic that Uzoebo’s leadership will further bolster its initiatives in agent banking and financial literacy across the country.
