Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has called on parents, particularly those entangled in custody disputes, to prioritize their children’s well-being over personal conflicts. The mother of two shared an email she received from a man struggling with co-parenting challenges, which resonated deeply with her.

The sender, who connected with Mercy’s movie Ada Omo Daddy, expressed his desire to be actively involved in his child’s life but revealed that his ex-partner had made the process difficult. In her response, Mercy emphasized the importance of putting children’s interests first, urging parents to set aside their differences for the sake of their kids.

“Parents really need to do better. How about setting differences aside and focusing on the well-being and what’s best for the kids?” she wrote.

Mercy also highlighted that her film Ada Omo Daddy goes beyond entertainment, shedding light on real-life struggles and stories. She encouraged more people to watch the movie, which is currently available for streaming on Netflix Naija and Circuit Streams.
