Adding fuel to the speculation, social media users noticed Regina had removed her husband’s name from her Instagram bio and deleted some of their photos together after returning to the platform.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), user @Divayetty1 expressed her lack of sympathy for Regina, stating, “I’m sorry, but this Regina Daniels situation is just so laughable to me, borderline clownish. She had no reason to be in this mess in the first place.”
She continued, “This isn’t about judgment, but I feel Nigerian women often don’t think deeply enough when making life-changing decisions. When Regina married Ned, people kept saying, ‘She won!’ But I kept asking, won what exactly? A few years later, she’s caught in this embarrassing situation. She married in her early 20s, and while people talked about ‘generational wealth’ and her kids being ‘set for life,’ how much money is worth sacrificing peace, dignity, and happiness?”
The user also criticized the societal pressure on women to “win” in the short term, pointing out that Regina was already a successful actress with the potential to build a fulfilling life on her own terms. “She could have married someone closer to her age, someone she truly loved, and still achieved success and wealth without all this drama,” she added.
She further compared the situation to the recent celebration of a woman who bought herself a Lamborghini, with many commenting, “She won!” The user questioned, “Won what exactly? She bought something with her own money. How does that translate to winning? Nigerian women need to think long-term and believe in their own capabilities instead of focusing on temporary victories or competing with others.”
Concluding her post, she said, “I have no pity for Regina. I hope she resolves her family issues, but this was entirely avoidable. She was already on a path to success and could have built a better future without marrying an older billionaire. But to each their own.”
