The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) to Falcon Aerospace Limited, operating as VivaJets, marking a significant milestone for the business aviation firm amid its rapid global expansion. This certification is expected to provide air passengers with more options on local routes.

An AOC is a critical accreditation that permits an airline or charter operator to use aircraft for commercial purposes, demonstrating compliance with stringent aviation safety standards.

“We are thrilled to announce that in January 2025, the NCAA awarded us the AOC, a vital milestone in our quest to become Africa’s largest and most efficient business aviation provider,” said Chukwuerika Achum, CEO of VivaJets. “This certification from our home country further enhances our capacity to make business aviation more accessible and to deliver the vital business connectivity that Africa needs through seamless and efficient air transportation.”

The certification coincides with VivaJets’ ongoing global expansion and technological advancements. The company offers a range of services, including aircraft management, fractional ownership options, and private jet charters.
