“People said we had no chance against Liverpool, so in my mind there is no such thing as favorites,” said the Spaniard, referencing PSG’s impressive win over the Premier League side in the previous round. “It’s a very open and difficult match for both sides. I know it will be intense.”

On paper, PSG holds the advantage. With 13 Ligue 1 titles under their belt—including the latest clinched just last weekend—and consistent appearances in the Champions League knockout stages, the French champions boast experience and depth. In contrast, Aston Villa hasn't reached this stage of the competition since 1983, a year after they were crowned European champions.
But Villa’s current form is not to be underestimated. Under Spanish coach Unai Emery, the Birmingham-based club is enjoying a seven-game winning streak and sits in contention for a top-five finish in the Premier League.
