24-year-old Joy Mojisola Raimi, representing Osun State, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025 at a glamorous ceremony held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The announcement was made by Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of the Silverbird Group, via his official X.com handle on Saturday.

“Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old representing Osun State, on being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025!” he wrote.

A Night of Elegance and Inspiration

The grand finale featured 37 contestants from across Nigeria, each showcasing poise, intellect, and passion. Raimi, a University of Port Harcourt graduate, captivated the judges and audience with her moving personal story and dedication to humanitarian work.

Founder of the ‘Love for Humanity’ initiative, Raimi champions causes centered on compassion and restoration of faith in humanity, a mission born out of her own difficult upbringing.

A Journey of Resilience

During the final round, Raimi shared her personal journey of overcoming bullying and emotional trauma.

“Growing up without a mother and enduring harsh treatment from my caregiver shaped who I am today,” she told the judges. “I was told I would never amount to anything. Today, I stand tall—Miss World Nigeria 2025.”

Her heartfelt story won over not only the judges but also viewers across the nation, cementing her victory over strong finalists from Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia.

Next Stop: Miss World 2025

As the new Miss World Nigeria, Joy Raimi will represent the country at the 72nd Miss World pageant, taking place from May 7 to 31 in Hyderabad, India, where she will compete against delegates from 140 countries.
