Nigerian Breweries Plc, a HEINEKEN operating company and Nigeria's largest brewing company, has announced the appointment of Sarah Agha as its new Marketing Director, effective June 1.

According to Managing Director Hans Essaadi, Agha will be instrumental in shaping the company's portfolio and marketing strategy. Her primary focus will be to drive the next phase of growth for the business, aligning with the ambitious EverGreen 2030 growth strategy. In Nigeria's dynamic market, Agha is expected to champion a consumer-led approach to transform and regain superiority in the mainstream segment while further advancing leadership in the premium and 'beyond beer' categories.

Agha brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Since joining Nigerian Breweries Plc in 2018, she has achieved significant results with prominent international premium brands such as Heineken and Desperados, as well as beloved local icons like Legend Extra Stout, Star, and Gulder. Over the past four years, she has also held crucial global commerce roles within HEINEKEN's Global Commerce Unit (GCU) and Africa, Middle East & Europe (AME) region.

In her most recent position as AME Regional Marketing Excellence Director for HEINEKEN International, Agha spearheaded the marketing agenda for the region. Her work focused on building winning consumer portfolios and strengthening brand-building strategies to secure market success. She notably fostered a culture of collaboration with HEINEKEN operating companies and championed a shift towards embedding capabilities that elevate the quality of execution, moving beyond mere capability programs.

Before her tenure at HEINEKEN, Agha built an impressive career, holding management team positions across diverse industries, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and telecommunications. She is widely recognized as a valuable partner and a thought leader, renowned for her passion in building both brands and people.
