Prosecutor Details Alleged Forced Oral Sex at "Freak Off" Party
Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson laid out a grim picture of Combs' alleged behavior, claiming the incident involving the male escort and Cassie occurred during one of the rapper's purported "freak off" parties. These events were described as elaborate, orchestrated sexual gatherings involving male escorts and women who were allegedly coerced or forced to participate.
Johnson told the court that during one such party, Diddy compelled an unnamed male escort to urinate in Cassie Ventura's mouth, an act that reportedly left her feeling as though she was "choking."
Prosecution Highlights 2016 Assault Video and Escort Testimony
The prosecution further drew attention to a 2016 video that previously surfaced online, which allegedly depicts Diddy physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway, kicking, hitting, and dragging her. This video is expected to be a key piece of evidence in the trial.
In addition, male escort Daniel Phillip took the stand and testified that he was repeatedly hired and paid to engage in sexual acts with Cassie Ventura, claiming he received up to $6,000 per encounter. Phillip stated that Combs would sometimes direct these encounters or record them.
Escort Claims Cassie Initiated Some Acts
However, Phillip also offered a potentially complicating element to the prosecution's narrative, telling jurors that Cassie Ventura herself had, on at least one occasion, asked him to urinate on her. "Cassie was actually the one that asked me urinate on her," he recalled. "She asked me if I had ever done that before, then told me to do it. Apparently, I wasn’t doing it right, because they both corrected me," Phillip stated. He further added, "I felt like I was dealing with someone who had unlimited power. Even if I went to the police, I believed I could still lose my life."
Defense Plans to Argue "Mutual Violence"
Last week, Diddy's legal team announced their strategy to argue that Cassie Ventura was an active participant in mutual violence throughout their relationship. This suggests a contentious and complex trial ahead, with conflicting accounts of their interactions. Cassie Ventura is also expected to testify during the proceedings, potentially offering her own perspective on these events.
Combs Faces Racketeering and Sex Trafficking Charges
Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in Manhattan on September 16, 2024, and subsequently indicted by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York. He has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
In addition to these charges, Combs has been accused of sexually abusing a staggering number of individuals, reportedly around 120, including women, men, and even a minor. If convicted of the racketeering charge, Diddy could face a life sentence. A separate conviction for sex trafficking carries a mandatory minimum prison term of 15 years. The trial is expected to be closely watched, given the gravity of the allegations and the high profile of the defendant.
