Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance at Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour in Paris on Thursday, marking the first time a guest performer has taken the stage during the ongoing tour. The two superstars delivered the live debut of their Grammy-winning duet, "II Most Wanted," much to the delight of fans at the Stade de France.

A Highly Anticipated Collaboration Comes to Life

Rumors had been swirling throughout the day that Cyrus, who was in Paris for Spotify’s Billions Club Live, had been seen soundchecking with Beyoncé. These whispers proved true when Cyrus joined Queen Bey deep into the set to perform their beloved track.

"II Most Wanted," featured on Beyoncé's critically acclaimed album "Cowboy Carter," released in March 2024. The song quickly became a fan favorite and was released as the third single from the album, going on to win a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Cyrus has previously shared insights into the song's creation, revealing that she had written it roughly two and a half years before it found its home on "Cowboy Carter." In an interview with W magazine, she explained, "When Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship." She added, "We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country." Cyrus noted that with Beyoncé being from Texas and herself from Tennessee, much of their shared heritage would be reflected in the song. For Cyrus, getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was "a dream come true."

"Cowboy Carter" Tour Continues Its Global Journey

Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" world tour is now past its halfway point, having already captivated audiences in major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, and London. After concluding her three-show stint in Paris on June 22, Beyoncé will return to the United States for highly anticipated performances in her hometown of Houston, followed by shows in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Las Vegas, where the tour will wrap up on July 26.
