...6,000 Expected at "REJUVENATE 2025"

As mental health concerns continue to rise across Nigeria, particularly among women and young people, a major wellness initiative is preparing to offer support, education, and empowerment through a nationwide series of events.

The Recharge Life Centre and Whole Women Community have announced that preparations are well underway for the 2025 edition of the REJUVENATE Wellbeing and Mental Health Conference & Roadshow, scheduled to run from June 25 to July 19, 2025, across several Nigerian cities.

Now in its annual cycle, REJUVENATE is fast becoming one of Nigeria’s most far-reaching mental health interventions, with this year’s edition expected to engage over 6,000 participants. Themed simply “REJUVENATE”, the 2025 conference aims to renew focus on the mental health challenges facing women and youth, offering practical tools for healing and emotional resilience.

The event is being held in partnership with key institutions including the University of Lagos, The Traders and Small Business Association (Ifo, Ogun State), and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Region 3 (Ogun State).

“Our mission with REJUVENATE 2025 is not just to raise awareness,” explained Mrs. Ediri Ose-Ediale, Executive Director of Recharge Life Centre, “but to inspire real change—restoring emotional resilience and wellbeing in our families and communities, especially now when it's needed most.”

The programme will unfold in four major phases, with each designed to reach different segments of the population:

  • June 25: A Teens Mental Health and Emotional Intelligence event at the International School Lagos, aimed at helping adolescents build inner strength and navigate emotional challenges.

  • July 8: A Mind Hack session at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, University of Lagos, will explore mental conditioning, self-awareness, and emotional mastery.

  • July 9: The Women’s Mental Wellbeing Conference, also at the University of Lagos, will focus on unique challenges faced by women in today’s economic and social climate.

  • July 19: The Ifo Health and Business Day at Abigael Omotayo Event Centre, Ogun State, will blend mental health support with business education—recognizing the intersection of financial stability and psychological wellness.

More sessions may be announced as planning progresses.

Importantly, all events are free to attend, with organisers covering the cost of participation. Only advance registration is required. The goal, organisers say, is to eliminate financial barriers and ensure mental health education is accessible to all, especially in communities that have traditionally been underserved.

The Recharge Life Centre and Whole Women Community, which are licensed mental health institutions, have spent over a decade building capacity in Nigeria’s wellness space. With affiliations to the International Association for Counselling and the Institute of Counselling Nigeria, the organisations have worked with both public and private partners to deliver therapy, counselling, and wellness programmes across the country.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with inflation, unemployment, and social pressures, mental health experts warn that emotional well-being can no longer be treated as a secondary concern. The REJUVENATE 2025 conference aims to be a direct response—a platform not just for healing, but for empowering communities with the tools to thrive.
