In a show of appreciation and motivation, Remo Stars Football Club has announced a series of financial rewards following a historic season that saw the club clinch its first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

At a celebratory event held on Monday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, club chairman Kunle Soname disclosed that the NPFL champions will receive a cash reward of ₦25 million for their outstanding performance during the 2024–25 league season. The gesture underscores the club’s commitment to encouraging excellence and sustaining a competitive spirit among its players and teams.

As part of the awards, standout midfielder Adedayo Olamilekan was honoured with a brand-new car after being named Player of the Season. Olamilekan’s consistent performances were instrumental in the Sky Blue Stars’ successful campaign.

Beyond the main team, other arms of the Remo Stars football family were also recognized. Beyond Limits FC, the club’s youth affiliate competing in the Nigeria National League (NNL), received ₦5 million in recognition of their triumph at the prestigious Gothia Cup in Sweden — an international youth football tournament that attracts teams from across the globe.

In the women’s division, Remo Stars Ladies were rewarded with ₦10 million for reaching the NWFL Super Six playoffs for the first time in the team’s history — a milestone that reflects the rapid growth and ambition of the women’s side.

Acknowledging the vital role of fan support, the club also presented the Sky Blue Stars Supporters’ Club with ₦2 million, in appreciation of their unwavering backing throughout the season.

These gestures reflect a broader commitment by the Remo Stars leadership to invest in football development at all levels — from the grassroots to elite competition — and to inspire excellence both on and off the pitch.
