Veteran Nigerian producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has expressed delight over his contributions to the newly released Billboard Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time list.

The celebrated hitmaker, who played a pivotal role in shaping the global Afrobeats sound, revealed via his X handle that he produced six tracks featured on the ranking—more than any other Afrobeats producer on the list.

“Inside the 50 I sha produced 6. I try Abi I no try,” he wrote, in his usual playful tone.

The producer’s credits span some of the genre’s most defining hits, including Wande Coal’s ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’ and ‘Kiss Your Hand,’ D’banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’ and ‘Fall in Love,’ as well as Tiwa Savage’s ‘Eminado’ and the Mavin all-star anthem ‘Dorobucci.’

Notably, Don Jazzy’s former collaborators D’banj, Wande Coal, and Tiwa Savage each earned two entries on the list, underscoring the enduring impact of their partnership during the Mo’ Hits and early Mavin Records era.

With this recognition, Don Jazzy further cements his status as one of the most influential figures in the Afrobeats movement, a genre that has grown from Nigerian street anthems into a global cultural force.
