Four days of cutting-edge insights, networking, and innovation to redefine how Africa learns, leads, and thrives in a changing world.
The Learning and Development Network International (LDNI) is set to host Africa’s largest gathering of HR and talent development leaders at its flagship Champions of Talent Development (CTD) Conference 2025 from September 16–18, at The Workforce Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, with an exclusive networking excursion on September 19. Themed “Future-Fit Talent: Learning, Leading, and Thriving,” the event will bring together CEOs, HR Directors, Learning & Development innovators, policymakers, and EdTech leaders from across Africa and beyond.
Now entering a new phase of impact, CTD 2025 comes at a defining moment for Africa’s workforce. Across industries, artificial intelligence, hybrid work models, and shifting economic realities are transforming how people learn, lead, and work. This year’s conference will serve as a continental hub for forward-thinking strategies, actionable insights, and collaborative solutions to equip organizations with the agility and resilience needed to thrive in an era of constant change.
Speaking on the significance of this year’s gathering, Olumide Ajomale, LDM, President of LDNI, said:
“CTD 2025 is more than a conference. It’s a catalyst for transforming Africa’s workforce. We’re bringing the best and powerful minds together to ensure our talent is ready to learn, lead, and thrive in the face of change.”
This year’s agenda will feature keynote presentations from Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of Civil Service of the Federation; Fola Adeola (OFR); Ibukun Awosika; and other respected voices in leadership, innovation, and workforce transformation. Delegates will engage with four dedicated learning tracks covering AI digital tools and emerging L&D technologies; inclusive, agile and transformational leadership; workplace well-being and resilience; and strategic talent development for the future.
Alongside the conference sessions, participants will have access to a dynamic exhibition showcasing cutting-edge solutions from sponsors and partners, as well as masterclasses on micro-learning, leadership pipeline development, and the integration of AI in learning. The event will conclude with a Gala Dinner & Awards to celebrate outstanding contributions to talent development across the continent.
"Champions of Talent Development (CTD) Conference is where leaders in the talent development ecosystem learn to convert their ideas into strategies and solutions, and gain the tools, and networks to build a future-fit workforce for Africa and beyond." Habiba Balogun LDS, Conference Chair, CTD 2025 added while commenting on the anticipated impact of the conference.
With Africa’s workforce projected to double by 2050, talent development has become a critical continental priority. CTD 2025 will provide practical, scalable solutions to pressing challenges, including how to harness the benefits of AI without excluding people, and how to prepare leaders for an era of continuous change.
