According to the examination body, the directive became necessary after it cleared all previously uploaded results from its system. JAMB explained that some candidates had earlier submitted incomplete or “awaiting results” entries before the final WAEC results were officially published, a move that could have caused discrepancies during admission processing.
In its weekly bulletin released on Monday and obtained by The Guardian, JAMB stated that the re-upload exercise applies to all candidates, regardless of whether their latest results differ from the ones uploaded earlier.
The board emphasized that the fresh upload is mandatory for every applicant seeking admission in the 2025/2026 academic session. Failure to comply could affect eligibility when institutions begin offering admission.
“All UTME candidates are advised to urgently re-upload their 2025 SSCE results on the JAMB portal to remain eligible for admission consideration,” the statement read.
The process is to be carried out only at accredited JAMB centres nationwide, ensuring that candidates’ records are updated directly and securely in the central database.
With admission screenings set to intensify in the coming weeks, the board’s directive serves as a reminder of the crucial role accurate documentation plays in securing a place in tertiary institutions.
